colorado paintball was just too much fun yesturday. we stayed on the field until the sun was going down. that's a good seven hours, folks. with just four of us... we battled it out. there was one point when david was on my team, he had already gotten a guy out from the other team. i was in defense mode, man... and for like twenty minutes brett and i battled it out. then i had to forfeight for i ran out of dang paintballs! what i still can't figure out is how we both missed each other... we came so close so many times... it's like we have similar battle methods. you'd think, though we could figure out what the other will do... and call it done. haha... so much fun! dinner at the tubbs later, they joked how i'd become part of the family and other random stuff. good times to say the least. karla is a great cook.. and it's nice to be fed over there!

well work starts tomarrow. finally going to get some pay checks. yipes. i don't think silver cliff will pay me *sigh*

Fri, May. 19th, 2006, 06:27 pm
oh goodness

wow! it's been almost a month since i've written in here.

so went out to silver cliff for two weeks. that was- okay. it was great to be back there... but tiring on the matter that no matter what i did i felt like a moron. sure, i'm a ditz... a major one, and i'll completely agree with you on that. however, i'm not stupid... and that's how what some of the things that were said made me feel. blah. just like that. life goes on though...

copper is just amazing. God is just amazing for placing me here at copper to serve him. how cool is that? pretty darn cool! today: went biking with karla and david tubbs. tomarrow: playing paintball with brett and david tubbs, and kristin, and a few other guys that i haven't met yet. so excited! a little afraid.. cus i know they are going to kick my butt. but hey... i'm tough (sometimes) haha!

thursday night.. foolish things in ft. colllins!!!! suckers! how amazing is that?!

just finished reading "i kissed dating goodbye" again. and well, God spoke to me in a totally different way. and well, let's just say im not kissing dating goodbye like joshua harris. for, the more i pray... the more He seems to give me affirmation on my feelings for someone. RAWR! lol. whatever. but.. i'm exciting about waiting... and building friendships with everyone... and in a since... building the best relationship with Christ that i possibly can. none of that probably made since to you.

well... these mountains are more beautiful than ever!

Fri, Apr. 28th, 2006, 07:20 am
been there. done that.

well it's almost been officially a year since Andy and I broke up. and honestly, it's been the best thing that's ever happened to me. There is no other way to describe it, but a learning experience. He was a great guy, please hear me out on that... but just not the guy for me. We both thought we were going to get married, and we loved each other. However, there was a certain part of me that knew it wasn't right. Thank God for that! I couldn't imagine me being married right now. He had been so set on it...and set on the moment I got to cali he was going to marry me. No, no... not for me. California was a good experience... but I hated it! Oxi-moron, possibly it was... California was literally like something from a story book. Everyone seemed to think they had to be perfect, and to be perfect look a certain way, act a certain way. Ugh... I just couldn't stand all the glimmer. I prefer Florida....overall- it's so much more pretty, the people there are a bit more friendly, and the ocean is gorgeous on the east coast. The surfing was great in cali... oh, it was great!

Now, though... I'm in Summit County Colorado... and loving every second that life is breath. The air is pure, the snow was perfect, the mountains are beautiful, and the people are down to earth. God's blessed me with an amazing environment here! I love being outdoors... and always have since I was little. This summer we're forming a softball team against the 70 other teams in the county! Do you beleive that?! Who would have thought that Summit County has enough people to form 70 teams! Enough adults at that! Goodness! As the grass is turning greener we're all picking up the summer sports. It's thrilling. Here, I live in this little studio apartment... and really that's all I need. I don't spend much time in this place because I work, and in between it was snowboarding with friends that has now turned into playing catch with friends! While Copper is closed right now.... it's mighty dead, and the tourists are gone! I hear it gets busy and crazy again in the summer. But, I also hear that the 4th of July is amazing out here!

Wow...blessed indeed. Even though Andy and I never worked out, I feel just right without having someone by my side. I need my space... you know. One day I pray that someone comes around that isn't clingy, and does his own thing... but somehow we just click. One day I pray that God gives me someone like that. Sometimes I wonder if I already know him.... and sometimes I think I do. But, that's not up for me to decide.

This summer will be awsome!

hospital days

you know it's funny when you've thought to yourself before that you would not ever be sick enough to go to the hospital. well, i sure have thought that many a times!

er visit #1: birth... does this really count, though?
er visit #2: concusion number one when we lived in mesquite at age 5. all i remember is sitting in moms lap and barphing on her! lol!
er visit #3: concusion number two- from my brother thinking it was an amazing idea to push me around in a doll buggy (a little tikes one at that) and i fell head first on our conrete... it was beautiful!
er visit #4: friday night- i had the flu bad... it turned into a six hour stay, and i went through two iv bags... that was crazy.

so, all in all... i pray i don't ever have to add to this list. unless i get married and for some strange reason decide to have kids.

this easter: definately one to remember

Wed, Apr. 12th, 2006, 04:00 pm

it has definately been a super long time since i've logged into this thing.

well, hello all. i pray that everyone is doing as well as i am.
i love living in these mountains, i love not knowing what is going to happen next. spontanious conbustions of love and free spirits are all around this place. it's incredible. however there is a lack of belief... people here long for something to believe in, and they haven't found it. that's why i'm here... to show them where it's at. to allow our Father to use me to share of his amazing glory. who created this mountain that we ski and ride every day? yeah... i wonder if they ever wonder that.

sure, i've had many rocky moments... many moments where i stumble. and when i've stumbled... i fear that i've for sure made fools of us all. but, there is forgiveness in our God! and then, i move on... trying harder to be a witness for Christ. trying harder to allow Him to use me.

it's rather exhilerating.

sappy songs

times like these make me sad and confused.
sometimes i love life so much
then sometimes i feel like i'm the crappiest person ever.

Tue, Jan. 3rd, 2006, 12:21 am
boo!

Hey everyone! Well, it looks like this little girl is in the rocky mountains of Colorado! I'm so happy to be here, and I know that it is where I am supposed to be. Dallas is good to me, but I can not even say that I miss it. See, over Christmas all the people that I wanted to see, didn't all want to see me. This is stupid to even write this, of it I do relize. Needless to say... life is moving on for me. There are amazing posibilities here. Sure, Calirfornia was okay for the time being. However it was just an intermission.

...Summit County and friendly people is the cover. The first few chapters are good so far. Struggles along the way will come...but I'm confident that without Christ on my side I would not be able to make it!

much love!

not for me!

Someone, please save us, us college kids.
What my parents told me, is what I did
They said, go to school and, be a college kid
But, in the end, I questioned why I did

I'm poor, I'm starving, I'm flat broke, I've got no cash to spend
Sell all my books to front row tickets to Dave Matthews Band
My girlfriend's at another school, I know this year will test her
I called, found out she had 3 other boyfriends last semester

And that's why I say, "Oh, no"
Not for me, not for me
Call it torture, call it un-iv-er-sity
Nooo!!
Arts and Crafts is all I need
I'll take calligraphy and then I'll make a fake degree

80 grand later, I found out that all that I had learned
Is that you should show up to take your finals and your mid-terms
The party scene is kinda mean, I think it's sick and twisted
The navy showed up at my door, they claimed that I enlisted

And that's why I say, "Oh, no"
Not for me, not for me
Call it torture, call it un-iv-er-sity
Nooo!!
Arts and Crafts is all I need
I'll take calligraphy and then I'll make a fake degree

Don't get excited, she'll say no without a doubt you see
And I've decided college girls just won't go out with me
They make me nervous and they always catch me off my guard
Like cell phone service, I drop out cuz' college is too hard

It's time to call my father
Cuz' its his alma mater
Good grades aren't what they seem
I think he knows the Dean

It's time to call my father
Cuz' its his alma mater
He says he's proud of me
But college always was his dream
And I would always say "It's not for me"

"Oh, no"
Not for me, not for me
Call it torture, call it un-iv-er-sity
Nooo!!
Arts and Crafts is all I need
I'll take calligraphy and then I'll make a fake degree

Someone, please save us, us college kids
What my parents told me, is what I did
They said, go to school and, be a college kid
But, in the end, I questioned why I did

Do what will make you happy
Do what you feel is right
Only but one thing matters
Learn how to live your life

Do what will make God happy
Do what you feel is right
Only but one thing matters
Learn how to live your life

well i don't think that you know what you've been missing

so i've been thinking....

that's i've got this dream. and it's coming true.
waiting is really worth it when you don't think about it.

my hopes and dreams have piled up over the years.

today, i was talking with a friend... and i relized that it would be nice one day...one day to have a family. you see, my friend he cooks and cleans, and takes care of himself. that's impressive and all... but i think i've decided that i want to be the wife that my husband raves about her cooking and what he's having for dinner that night- he can't wait for. i want to be a wife that has that warm meal for him when he comes home from a long days work. that wife who does keep the house in decent order. but i also want to have my freelance photography, and i want him to respect that. maybe a job too. but most of all... i don't like the idea of a guy who can take care of himself. i mean, i think it's great that he can... but i want a guy that has a messy room sometimes when i come over. you know? is all this just non-sense? wow... why am i writing this here. mainly...because i want to know someone agrees with me. lol. so um, comments?

Fri, Dec. 16th, 2005, 08:32 pm

Well, kids... I will be serving for the North American Mission Board next semester in Copper Mountain, Colorado and the area surrounding. I've never been so sure of something in life... than I am now.

Mon, Dec. 5th, 2005, 10:08 am
holidays are here!

this morning i mailed little holiday cards and music to marc and mike. the girl in the mailroom here treated me like an idiot. it was amazing. so, me being the sassy person that i can be sometimes... immediately treated her the same. i think she was shocked. it was really commical. for me, i don't know about her.

thursday and friday hang out time with andrew. then my flight leave friday! WOW! i seriously can't believe it! it doesn't make since.. i can't even comprehend everything. oh my oh my.

Your Love Number is

2

Of all the numbers, you are the most caring and empathetic lover.
Unselfish and humble, you find it easy to forgive your sweetie's mistakes.
At times, your need to please can be come a bit too needy.
As long as you remain somewhat independent, your relationships are perfectly balanced.

this made me smile...for i've always wanted to venture over there...

even though i've never been there...

You Belong in London

A little old fashioned, and a little modern.
A little traditional, and a little bit punk rock.
A unique woman like you needs a city that offers everything.
No wonder you and London will get along so well.
